Rob Shick is a Managing Director and Financial Advisor at Baird. He has been in the wealth management business since 1985 serving clients with integrity and candor. Rob and his team have developed and refined a wealth management process they call "The Foundation for Success" to help serve the complex needs of each client. Rob also managed the Baird advisors in the Portland branch for over 13 years and his commitment to providing sound advice and service to every client was shared among his experienced staff.
Rob was recently recognized as a top ranked Financial Advisor in the state of Oregon as FORBES* Best In State Wealth Advisor for 2026. This is the ninth consecutive year that Rob has been recognized with this honor. In addition, Rob was named on the 2026 list of Barron’s Top 1500 Advisors nationally. This is the third year he has received the Barron’s recognition.
Community service is important to the Shick Group. For 15 years, Rob served as chairman of the Knight Cancer Institute Council. He recently stepped down from that role but remains deeply involved as a Council member in raising funds and awareness for research in support of Knight Cancer Research Director, Brian Druker. Rob has been instrumental in raising millions of dollars for cancer research. Rob served for 12 years as a member of the Oregon Health & Science University Board of Trustees and four years on the Executive Committee. In addition, Rob has served as a board member of the Northwest Chapter for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. For all his volunteer efforts, Rob received the National Community Service Award from the Invest in Others Foundation in 2015. He was also recognized in 2010 as the AFP Outstanding Fundraiser Volunteer.
Rob is a graduate of Portland State University and lives in the West Hills with his wife Suzanne. They have three grown children who live and work in Portland.
